Technical Service and Support Manager

 

Open Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Technical Service and Support Manager position.

Overall Responsibilities: Responsible for the leadership and coordination of maintenance and technical services support for all internal and third-party sites in a proprietary bio-manufacturing environment.

Specific Accountabilities: 
*Responsible for the leadership, coordination and performance of all maintenance support activities for all sites.
*Administer a data-based assets management program that maximizes process and instrumentation uptime
*Oversee and lead RCAs for instrumentation, bio-processing, and production level troubleshooting events
*Manage teams providing distance support for field locations.
*Work closely with production director on the planning, directing and forecasting of all maintenance activities.
*Develop and maintain the maintenance standards documentation, tools forms, and the standard training programs.
*Develop and maintain the maintenance database.
*Verify design for maintenance during design phase and provide recommendations.
*Travel as needed to customer sites for supporting existing maintenance projects.
*Promotes customer satisfaction through problem solving, clear and effective communications, professional appearance, and efficient repair/maintenance activities
*Track all service activities utilizing CMMS system developed in accordance with service policies and procedures.
*Recommend and implement changes to ensure ongoing high-quality performance of laboratory equipment
*Maintain and continuously develop personal knowledge and expertise related to the service of complex laboratory equipment
*Additional projects and duties may be assigned

The Candidate:

Qualifications and Experience:
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.  Degree in engineering discipline strongly preferred.
*Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
*Minimum of 5 years experience managing customer facing projects.
*Thorough understanding of maintenance processes; predictive, preventative, and reliability.
*CMRP or similar certification preferred.
*Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
*Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.

Ideally, candidates have experience working in a global role for a company in the agriculture sector.
